Sylvan Heights is the neighboring area of its long established cousin Sylvan Park. For many years it is taken sometime for Sylvan Heights to establish itself as a legitimate Nashville borough, largely because builders, developers, and remodelers spent so many years concentrating efforts in the more established Sylvan Park that the progress of Sylvan Heights took quite some time for the interest and property values to increase.

However, that time is now past and Sylvan Heights is on the rise. Many residents are flocking to this area because of its convenience to Charlotte Pike, Downtown, and neighboring Sylvan Park. It is also more affordable than Sylvan Park.

In the last few years there has been a substantial increase in both retail and commercial building expansion in the Sylvan Heights area. A number of mixed use developments as well as apartments have started to increase in the area as well as along Charlotte Pike. Many of these new additions are expansions to already successful Nashville local favorites and chains however some are new to the Nashville area altogether.

Some of our favorites include: Another Broken Egg Café, Five Points Pizza West, 8th and Roast, Farm Burger, Double Dogs, and Indian street food hotspot, Chaatable.

In addition to restaurants, there are several other areas that are getting re-purposed into multi business mixed-use locations. This includes the new L and L Market which hosts Gracie’s Milkshake Bar, Honest Coffee, Marigold Gourmet Popcorn, Savory Spice, Penne Pasta, Five Daughters Bakery, Tiny Yum, Cyclebar, and Bold Patriot Brewing Company.
